Lakewood CO - 2023 Nissan LEAF's Overview

Exterior – Nissan Dealer serving Lakewood CO

The 2023 Nissan ARIYA is a compact four-door hatchback. The 2023 Nissan LEAF is a small four-door crossover SUV with a rear liftgate. Nissan has taken a different approach to the aesthetics of both vehicles. It designed to the LEAF to look like a modern but traditional hatchback. With the ARIYA, it has opted for a much more futuristic design, and which is better really comes down to a matter of personal taste. The LEAF has a 106.3-inch wheelbase and a 5.9-inch ground clearance, and the overall length is 176.4 inches, which is 14.7 feet. The ARIYA, on the other hand, has a 109.3-inch wheelbase and a 7.8-inch ground clearance, and it measures 182.9 inches, which is more than 15.2 feet.

Interior – 2023 Nissan LEAF in Lakewood CO

Both of these models are compact five-passenger vehicles, and one of the issues with comparing the 2023 Nissan LEAF vs Nissan ARIYA is that not all of the final specs are available for the ARIYA. We know that headroom in the LEAF ranges from 41.2 to 37.3 inches and that front and rear legroom are 42.1 and 33.3 inches, respectively. Nissan has implied that the ARIYA will be significantly bigger, which could matter if you intend to have adults as rear passengers often. We can kind of glean the space difference by comparing the dedicated cargo space, which is a nice 30.0 cubic feet in the LEAF but almost twice that in the ARIYA at 59.7 cubic feet.

Nissan LEAF Mechanical specs

The LEAF is a front-wheel-drive vehicle, and while Nissan has built an all-wheel-drive prototype, there has been no indication that they plan to bring it to market. The ARIYA offers you the option of front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive, but whether you have the budget for the Platinum+ dictates whether that is a practical option. Another point to consider is how much range you need. The base LEAF provides 149 miles of range and the upper model provides 215 miles of the range. If you need more than that, the ARIYA has you covered. The base model provides 300 miles of range, and while the more powerful models don’t provide as much, they do provide more than the LEAF.

Technologies – Nissan Dealership in Lakewood CO

Both vehicles have robust standard driver assist packages, but you will find that the ARIYA suite is a bit more robust. The ARIYA also comes standard with a larger touch screen. If you’re willing to step up to the LEAF Plus SV, then you won’t notice much difference in the tech. If you’re looking at the base models, however, the Venture+ is more exciting on the tech front.

Trim Levels – 2023 Nissan LEAF dealer

In previous years, Nissan offered the LEAF in three trim levels and a LEAF and LEAF Plus configuration, and the brand found that it led to some consumer confusion. For the 2023 Nissan LEAF, the company has decided to make it a lot simple by offering just two options: the LEAF S and the LEAF Plus SV. The LEAF Plus EV has the more powerful motor and bigger battery pack along with a more robust equipment package. The 2023 Nissan ARIYA will be available at Empire Lakewood Nissan in four trim levels: Venture+, Evolve+, Premier and Platinum+. All have the same battery pack. A smaller battery pack will be offered down the line but not at launch. Front-wheel drive is standard with the first three trim levels, and the only way to get all-wheel drive right now is by choosing the Platinum+.
