The 2023 Nissan LEAF is now available to test-drive, purchase and lease at our Nissan dealership serving Denver Lakewood Colorado. The LEAF is an all-electric hatchback that is the most affordable option among EVs and also impresses with an equipment package that belies its price point.
The 2023 Nissan LEAF arrives with a new front-end design that features an illuminated Nissan badge. This model is also notable in that Nissan has significantly streamlined line the LEAF options.
Every 2023 Nissan LEAF near Denver has an all-electric powertrain with a single electric motor, a battery pack and a one-speed direct-drive transmission. Powertrain differences are locked in to the available trim levels. The LEAF S has a 147-horsepower motor and a 40-kWh battery pack that delivers an EPA-estimated range of 149 miles. The LEAF SV Plus has a 214-hp motor and a 62-kWh battery pack that delivers an EPA-estimated range of 215 miles. Power delivery is instant, which means acceleration will feel perkier than with a gas powertrain rated for similar output. All LEAF models support multiple regenerative braking modes through the e-Pedal feature, including one-pedal driving.
The current-generation LEAF has received a five-star overall safety rating from the NHTSA. All models have an 8-inch touch screen with Apple and Android integration, but the top trim adds integrated navigation and NissanConnect connected services as well. Nissan Safety Shield 360 is also standard, and that suite includes a rearview camera system, automatic headlamps, front and rear collision warning with automatic braking, blind-spot monitoring with intervention, rear cross-traffic warning and lane departure warning with intervention. The SV Plus expands this suite to include a 360-degree surround-view camera, driver attention warning and ProPILOT Assist, which encompasses adaptive cruise control and other features.
All LEAF models sold and leased through our location serving Denver Lakewood Colorado come standard with the CHAdeMO fast-charging port, which supports Level 1, Level 2 and Leve 3 charging. Level 1 or 120-volt charging is not optimal but a nice option to have when you need it. Most of our customers will want to have a Level 2 or 240-volt charger at home, and through that Level 2 charging station, you can charge your LEAF to 100% in about seven hours. With a Level 3 connection found at DC fast-charging stations, you can charge to 80% in less than 30 minutes.
One of the notable changes Nissan this year was reducing all of the available configurations down to just two trim levels, and this has made it much easier for consumers to choose the best LEAF for them. There aren’t optional packages to consider. Each trim level has a clearly defined equipment package and delivers a certain range and level of performance. The LEAF S is the base model and most affordable option—not just here but in the entire segment. It is also impressively equipped for the price point and an attractive option for drivers who don’t need the extended range. Those who do will find a lot to like with the LEAF SV Plus, including more amenities and technologies.
There are six distinct exterior color options available for the Nissan LEAF and included in the MSRP. If you choose the base model, your options include Brilliant Silver Metallic, Deep Blue Pearl, Glacier White, Gun Metallic and Super Black. Our customers who select the up-level trim will also have the option of Scarlet Ember Tintcoat, and at this point in the lineup, you also have the choice of a dual-tone aesthetic that pairs Super Black with Pearl White TriCoat as a premium option. A black interior is standard in all cases.
