The 2023 GT-R continues the first GT-R generation. There are no major changes to the model, but Nissan has made small refinements through the equipment for both the Premium and NISMO.
All GT-R models available through Empire Lakewood Nissan have a twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter V6 engine mated to a dual-clutch six-speed automatic transmission and with standard all-wheel drive. The Premium makes 565 horsepower and 467 pound-feet of torque. The NISMO has a higher-output version of the engine that makes 600 hp and 481 lb.-ft. Both models a limited-slip differential and a performance suspension with electronically controlled Bilstein shock absorbers, but the NISMO has trim-specific tuning. The premium has performance brakes. The NISMO has carbon-ceramic brakes.
All models have an 8-inch infotainment touch screen with a rearview camera, integrated navigation and Apple CarPlay. The Premium also has front and rear parking sensors. This is the only feature that the NISMO does not have, and it is due to the bodywork differences between the models.
Keyless entry and push-button ignition are standard equipment. Both the Premium and NISMO has 20-inch forged-aluminum wheels, but the NISMO wheels are lighter. The Premium has high-performance wheels, and the NISMO has wider, ultra-high-performance wheels.
There are just two trims available for the GT-R. The Premium is the more affordable optional and still provides you most of the performance you’d get with the NISMO. The NISMO is based on the premium but configured and tuned by the Nissan performance division.
If you opt for the Premium, there are five exterior color options available for the GT-R: Bayside Blue, Jet Black Pearl, Pearl White TriCoat, Solid Red and Super Silver QuadCoat. There are also four distinct interior motifs to choose from: Black, Hai Gray, Kuro Night and Red Amber. The NISMO has a special interior that pairs Black and Red. It also has NISMO-specific red exterior accents, and that look can be paired with Jet Black Pearl, Pearl White TriCoat, Solid Red and Super Silver QuadCoat.
